UDX is currently testing a miniature prototype of their 2-seat vertical take-off and landing electric aircraft motor called Airwolf. This eVTOL flying motor can accelerate to nearly 100 km/h in just 3 seconds. With thrust from the engine being able to tilt into the wind, the Airwolf has enough wing surface area to cruise efficiently and move flexibly while hovering.

Designed to be an electric vehicle capable of taking off and landing vertically like a motorbike, the Airwolf boasts a capacity of 430 horsepower and can carry two people. What sets it apart from conventional four-engine aircraft is its thruster chamber that can tilt into the wind, allowing each of the four shrouded rotor assemblies to move independently.

The aircraft’s meticulously designed wing allows it to fly forward effectively, producing about 50% of the lift needed to help the motor hover in the air. This design results in the vehicle requiring less energy from the battery pack and providing a longer range. Despite weighing around 230 kg, the Airwolf promises acceleration from 0 to 96 km/h in 3 seconds and a maximum speed of 229 km/h.

UDX has built working prototypes of the Airwolf on a small scale, incorporating a vector propulsion system. However, more time is required before entering production. Users looking to fly the UDX Airwolf will need a US sport pilot license, which requires 20 hours of flight training and passing two tests.

UDX also manufactures various stainless steel and super duplex products such as socket outlets, flanges, welding bosses among many others. Their dedication to innovation and quality is evident in all their products.
