During the week of May 30 to June 6, health inspectors in Orange County shut down various restaurants and food vendors due to violations. However, many were allowed to reopen after correcting the issues.
On June 5, Charlie’s Chili in Newport Beach was closed due to a cockroach infestation but reopened the next day. Meanwhile, French Avenue at Irvine Spectrum Center in Irvina was also closed on June 4 for insufficient hot water.
Andalusia Kitchen in San Clemente and Quan Bun Ban Mai in Westminster were both closed on June 4 for rodent infestations. On the same day, 3 Blossoms in Westminster was also closed for a cockroach infestation.
Several other businesses faced closures during this week as well. For instance, Keno’s Restaurant in Anaheim was shut down on May 30 due to a cockroach infestation but reopened the next day. Similarly, Lucky Seafood Supermarket in Garden Grove had to close on May 31 due to a sewage overflow but managed to reopen just one day later. Food sales at Quality Inn & Suites in Westminster were also closed on May 31 for reasons not provided, before being allowed to reopen on June 1.
Ha Noi Corner in Garden Grove and Keno’s Restaurant were two other businesses that faced closure during this period due to cockroach infestations, respectively. They were able to quickly correct the issues and reopen their doors within a day or so of being shut down.
