Pro Football Hall of Famer Larry Allen, renowned for his formidable presence on the offensive line, has passed away at the age of 52 while on vacation in Mexico with his family. The Dallas Cowboys made the announcement of his sudden death, leaving the football community in mourning.
Allen was a legend with the Cowboys, having won a Super Bowl, been inducted into their Ring of Honor, and earned immense respect as an NFL player. Known for his outstanding athleticism, incredible strength, versatility, and dependability, he was widely regarded as one of the best offensive linemen to ever grace the league.
When Allen was drafted by the Cowboys in 1994 from a small school, he quickly made a name for himself despite being new to the big leagues. He became a first-team All-Pro player for seven consecutive seasons and stood out with his impressive speed for a lineman and strength that allowed him to pancake defensive linemen.
During his time with the Cowboys from 1994 to 2005, Allen cemented his legacy as one of the best offensive linemen in football history. Afterwards, he played two more seasons with the San Francisco 49ers before retiring. His accomplishments are numerous – including being named to multiple All-Decade Teams and making it onto the NFL’s 100th Anniversary All-Time Team.
