Armed groups in Iraq and other Middle Eastern countries have pledged their support for Hezbollah in Lebanon in the event of a war with Israel. Tensions have been mounting on Israel’s northern border, with the Israeli army announcing plans to attack Lebanon.

Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah has threatened that no part of Israel will be safe in a potential all-out war. Senior members of militia groups in Iraq have confirmed their support for Hezbollah, with some already deployed to Lebanon in advisory roles. Other pro-Iranian militia groups from various countries in the region have also expressed plans to send support to Lebanon if fighting breaks out.

Many of these pro-Iranian militia groups have been active in Syria, supporting government forces against rebels and reclaiming territory from IS. These groups have the ability to quickly cross the Syria-Lebanon border and reinforce Hezbollah if necessary.

Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah has acknowledged offers of support from various regional allies but stated that Hezbollah currently has enough members for the conflict at hand. However, he noted that support may be needed in the event of a total war with Israel.

Analysts warn of the potential for multiple fronts in a conflict between Hezbollah and Israel, with the possibility of fighters from various countries joining the fray. The latest confrontations between the two sides have been escalating, raising concerns about the potential for a wider and more devastating conflict.

The last major conflict between Israel and Hezbollah in 2006 resulted in significant casualties and destruction, but did not significantly weaken Hezbollah. If another war were to break out, the impact could be even more catastrophic for both sides. It is crucial to take the warnings from both sides seriously and prevent a further escalation of hostilities.
