After a scary collision with Rafael Devers, Red Sox outfielder Tyler O’Neill has received an update from manager Alex Cora. O’Neill cleared concussion protocol after receiving eight stitches above his left eye and is expected to return to the lineup for Thursday’s series finale. He will miss the next two games, but he has been performing well for the Red Sox this season, with a .313 batting average and seven home runs through 17 games.

Devers was not injured in the collision and is ready to play for Tuesday night. Despite being shaken up from the incident, he stayed in Monday’s game and is looking forward to being back on the field.

Cora also provided an update on starter Nick Pivetta, who is recovering from a flexor strain. Pivetta has been playing catch for the third consecutive day as he works his way back to full strength. The Red Sox are hoping that both O’Neill and Pivetta will be healthy enough to contribute to their efforts in securing a win against Cleveland on Tuesday night.
