In the final group game of the men’s T20 World Cup 2024, Rashid Khan won the toss and Afghanistan opted to bowl first against West Indies. The match took place at the Daren Sammy National Cricket Stadium, where the wind was expected to play a significant role with forecasts of it blowing at over 20kmph.
West Indies made a couple of changes in their team for the match. Romario Shepherd had returned home for the birth of his second child, which gave Obed McCoy an opportunity in the XI.
