In the Saudi Pro League, Cristiano Ronaldo made history by breaking the record for most goals scored in a season. In a 4-2 win over Al-Ittihad, Ronaldo scored two goals to reach a total of 35, surpassing Abderrazak Hamdallah’s 34 from the previous season. It is worth noting that Hamdallah achieved his record in just 27 league games, four fewer than Ronaldo.

Ronaldo’s first goal came in first-half stoppage time when he controlled a long ball from Mohammed Al-Fatil and found the back of the net. Despite having an early goal disallowed for offside, Ronaldo was able to equal the record and then break it with his two goals in this match. He was eventually substituted after scoring his 35th goal of the season with a headed goal from a corner.

The match saw some drama as Ronaldo was brought down in the box by Suwailem Al-Menhali, who was subsequently sent off. Abdulrahman Ghareeb’s penalty and Meshari Al-Nemer’s goal, along with goals from Farhah Al-Shamrani and Fabinho, contributed to the 4-2 victory for Al-Nassr. The win secured their second-place finish in the league, 14 points behind champions Al-Hilal and 17 points ahead of third-placed Al-Ahli.
