The Rochester Broadway Theatre League’s (RBTL’s) 2023-2024 M&T Bank Broadway Season has had a significant impact on the local economy, contributing an estimated $25.5 million over nine months. Throughout the season, nearly 100,000 people attended shows such as “Frozen”, “Annie” and “TINA – The Tina Turner Musical”.

The season coincided with a multi-phase renovation and restoration project at the West Herr Performing Arts Center, aimed at enhancing the overall experience for patrons and improving accessibility. Completed projects included a new elevator between the Auditorium Theatre and Performing Arts Center, with upcoming renovations planned for a new bar/lounge and restroom areas.

RBTL Presenter Albert Nocciolino expressed pride in the success of the season and the continued support from Rochester audiences. He reflected on the 40-year partnership between RBTL and the community, emphasizing the importance of audience support in providing live entertainment.

“The success of our season is not only thanks to our amazing staff but also to our loyal audience,” said Nocciolino. “We are grateful for their continued support as we work towards our ultimate goal of finishing all restorations and renovations by 2030, celebrating our 100th anniversary.”
