As the Ravens’ new defensive coordinator, Zach Orr is counting on safety Kyle Hamilton to lead the team’s defense. In his second year with the team, Hamilton had an impressive performance with 81 tackles, four interceptions, three sacks, 13 passes defensed and a forced fumble. He was named a first-team All-Pro as a result of his outstanding performance. During a recent press conference, Orr praised Hamilton’s versatility and expressed his desire to see him compete for the title of defensive player of the year.
Orr described Hamilton as the “ultimate chess piece” due to his ability to play multiple positions on the field. According to Orr, Hamilton can excel at safety, deep safety, box safety, corner, nickel, backer and even outside linebacker. Hamilton’s work ethic, talent and intelligence make him a valuable asset to the team and Orr believes that he has the potential to win defensive MVP in the future.
