Rapper Childish Gambino, who is also known as actor Donald Glover, is making a comeback with a new tour. The New World Tour will feature a stop at the Smoothie King Center in New Orleans on Sept. 7, with Willow Smith opening the show. Tickets for the tour go on sale May 17 through AXS.com.

Gambino recently released “ATAVISTA,” which is described as the finished version of his 2020 album “3.15.20.” This release includes two new songs and a music video for “Little Foot Big Foot.” These activities mark a busy period for Gambino, who previously announced and then took back his retirement from music.

The tour will kick off on Aug. 11 in Oklahoma and cover over 50 dates in North America, Europe, and New Zealand and Australia in early 2025. Gambino/Glover has had a successful career in entertainment, starting as a writer on “30 Rock” and moving on to star in shows like “Community” and “Atlanta,” as well as voice roles in movies like “The Lion King” and “Solo: A Star Wars Story.”

His musical success came with the release of “This Is America” in 2018, which propelled him to the top of hip-hop’s ranks. Despite canceling a headlining slot at the 2018 Voodoo Music Experience, he continues to grow his fan base with his creative endeavors in both music and acting.
