In the ongoing race to sign Joshua Zirkzee from Bologna, Manchester United and Arsenal are two of the clubs showing interest in the player. With his impressive performances under coach Thiago Motta, Zirkzee has attracted attention from top clubs across Europe.

Bologna finished fifth in Serie A and secured a spot in the Champions League for next season, making it difficult for them to keep their star player. However, AC Milan is also interested in signing him. But with Manchester United and Arsenal looking to strengthen their attacking options this summer, they may activate Zirkzee’s release clause, which is €40m.

Zirkzee has had an outstanding season in Italy, scoring 11 goals in Serie A while leading all center forwards in successful take-ons. He was named Serie A Best Young Player for the 2023-24 season but did not make it into the Netherlands squad for Euro 2024. Despite his impressive record at the u-21 level, he has yet to be capped at the senior level.

As more clubs show interest in Zirkzee, it will be exciting to see which club will ultimately succeed in securing his signature.
