Quintez Cephus, a former Detroit Lions wide receiver, recently signed a contract with the Buffalo Bills. However, his time in Buffalo was cut short when the team released him before any on-field action took place.

Cephus, who was a sixth-round pick by the Lions in 2020, had faced challenges in his NFL career despite a promising start. During his rookie season, he caught 20 passes for 352 yards and showed potential. In the beginning of the 2021 season, he was off to a strong start with 15 receptions in the first five games before suffering a season-ending foot injury.

After being suspended by the NFL for a year due to violating the league’s gambling policy, Cephus was reinstated and signed with the Buffalo Bills in an attempt to restart his career. Unfortunately, his time with the Bills ended quickly with his release.

This has been a tumultuous journey for Cephus in the NFL, and he will now need to find another opportunity to continue his professional football career. This story was originally reported on Lions Wire.
