In recent news, Qatar Airways has been named the best airline in the world by Skytrax for the eighth time since 2011. This marks a significant milestone for the airline, which came in second place last year. Singapore Airlines now holds the second position, with Emirates following closely behind in third place. No U.S. airlines made it to the top 10 list this year, with Delta Air Lines being the highest-ranked U.S. carrier at 21st place.

The survey conducted by Skytrax involved customers from over 100 countries in determining the rankings. Qatar Airways not only won first place but also secured first place for business class and top airline in the Middle East awards. Singapore Airlines was recognized for other categories such as best cabin crew and best first class while excelling in Asia rankings. When it comes to budget travel options, Malaysia’s AirAsia claimed first place for low-cost airline while Singapore’s Scoot won long-haul flights recognition.

In North America regional rankings, Delta Air Lines emerged as the leader followed by Air Canada and United Airlines with Porter Airlines and Air Transat rounding out the top five airlines based in Canada respectively. The top ten airlines worldwide according to Skytrax include Qatar Airways, Singapore Airlines, Emirates, ANA All Nippon Airways, Cathay Pacific Airways, Japan Airlines Turkish Airlines EVA Air
