Skytrax has announced the best airlines in the world for 2024. Qatar Airways has taken the top spot, overtaking Singapore Airlines which held the title in 2023. Notably, no US airlines made it into the top 20 list.
Qatar Airways has been named the best airline in the world by Skytrax once again, after losing out in 2023. The World Airline Awards, based on feedback from travelers from over 100 countries on more than 350 airlines, were announced at a gala in London. The majority of airlines in the top 20 were from Asia and the Middle East, with European carriers also represented.
Turkish Airlines was named as the highest ranked European airline in seventh place. Seven out of the top 20 positions were held by European airlines. Despite their strong presence in other categories, no US airlines made it into the top 20 list. Delta Air Lines fell to 21st place and United was also not included in this year’s rankings.
