A school in Cambridge has completed the largest jigsaw puzzle in the world after 11 months of work. The puzzle, which has about 60,000 pieces, was a collaborative effort by the students at Cambridge Rindge and Latin School. Emily Houston, a teacher at the school, came up with the idea to work on this massive puzzle.

The puzzle depicted a map of the world with iconic monuments for each country. Students worked in teams to finish each section of the puzzle, which included famous landmarks like the Statue of Liberty. Some classes completed their sections quickly, while others took up to six months.

This project brought students together and allowed them to make new friends. It was also a mental exercise that required problem-solving skills and time away from technology. The school considered displaying the finished puzzle but decided to take it apart to attempt it again in a few years or make an even bigger puzzle.

Despite this decision, everyone involved in the project felt a sense of accomplishment as they had worked together as a team on this unique and memorable experience. Students appreciated the peaceful process of working on the puzzle and enjoyed collaborating with their classmates.

Overall, this project was not only an educational experience but also helped students develop valuable skills such as teamwork and problem-solving abilities that they can use throughout their lives.
