The Kannada Science and Commerce PU College, located in Mysuru, is offering a unique opportunity for students by providing a free pre-university course (PUC) in the Science stream with Kannada as the medium of instruction. This initiative is part of the efforts by the institution to promote education in the local language.

The college stands out as the only PU college in Karnataka state that offers the Science course in Kannada medium. The Secretary of the institution, P M Savitha, mentioned that they have been conducting these courses for the past four years. The college offers two combinations in PUC Science – Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Biology (PCMB), and Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Computer Science (PCMC).

One of the key highlights of this program is that students from any part of Karnataka can join the course without having to pay any fee to the college. The full fee of the college will be discounted for all students, regardless of their geographical location or background. Additionally, those who prefer government hostels in the vicinity can opt for free accommodation and meals. The Mysuru branch of the Ananthpur-based Kuderu Mutt in Andhra Pradesh will provide free hostel and food to students who choose not to stay at government hostels.

The Vice-president of the Samsthe, Sa Ra Sudarshan, emphasized that this initiative provides a unique chance for students who wish to write exams like NEET and CET in Kannada to secure seats in prestigious medical and engineering colleges. It is particularly beneficial for students from rural areas or others who are interested in pursuing PUC Science in their native language.

Those interested in enrolling should reach out to Savitha at 99860 47382 or Sudarshan at 92435 03913 before June 10th. This opportunity provides a unique chance for students to access quality education in their native language and excel academically while gaining valuable cultural experience.
