A recent survey by Morning Consult, published on Axios, has revealed that 60% of eligible voters believe that incumbent President Joe Biden should be replaced as the Democratic Party’s primary candidate following his appearance in the confrontation with Donald Trump. The televised confrontation between Biden and Trump had a significant impact on the race for the presidency of the United States, with many deeming Biden’s tired and hoarse appearance as a “hard failure.”

The survey received responses from 2,068 people and reflected reactions from Democratic Party officials regarding the possibility of replacing Biden as the party’s presidential candidate. Among Democratic voters, 21% believe Biden should definitely not be replaced, while 20% say probably not. When asked to choose between Biden and Trump, 45% chose the president and 44% chose the former president.

Despite this, Biden’s campaign spokesman Seth Shuster emphasized that Biden is not retiring. The news of potential replacement has sparked discussions and debates among political commentators and voters alike, who are closely watching developments leading up to the presidential election. Many are pondering how Biden’s performance in confrontations with other candidates may influence his standing as the party’s nominee.
