Las Vegas native Kingsley is thrilled to be back in his home state, where he has been tasked with making a positive impact on the lives of citizens in Reno, Sparks, and Washoe. Prior to his current role, Kingsley served as the public health director for Mohave County in Kingman, Arizona, and spent a decade working with the Southern Nevada Health District. During his time in Southern Nevada, he managed public health crises such as a salmonella outbreak and an active tuberculosis case that exposed over 600 elementary-aged students.

Kingsley’s vision as a leader in public health is centered on prevention and promotion. He believes that improving financial sustainability is key to increasing access to healthcare. He acknowledges that public health is often a thankless role, as the work of prevention often goes unrecognized. However, he is dedicated to giving families longevity, allowing people to advance in their careers, and helping them lead healthy, long lives.

With a medical degree from Universidad Autónoma de Guadalajara in Mexico and a master of business administration from Western Governors University, Kingsley brings a diverse background to his work in public health. Having started his medical career in Mexico, he gained valuable insights into cultural barriers within healthcare. Kingsley is committed to serving underserved and tribal communities and emphasizes the importance of understanding cultural nuances and collaborating with community partners to build trust.

As he settles into northern Nevada, Kingsley is excited to start a new chapter with his family and explore the unique opportunities the region has to offer
