Hunter Biden, the president’s son, was particularly vocal in supporting his father’s decision to run again.

During this time, Hunter Biden has become more involved in White House activities. He has been advising his father and participating in meetings with high-level aides. According to reports from NBC News, he has also been speaking with other top White House staffers. Although he has visited the White House in the past, he has not typically been involved in meetings regarding the president’s work.

Recently, Hunter Biden was convicted on felony gun charges. However, President Biden has continued to support him as he navigates personal challenges such as addiction. A source shared with CNN that Hunter Biden has been joining his father in meetings and calls with advisors at the White House. Despite his legal troubles, he stayed in Washington to spend Independence Day with his family. White House senior deputy press secretary Andrew Bates confirmed that Hunter Biden returned from Camp David with his father and immediately went into speech prep for the president’s address criticizing the US Supreme Court’s ruling on presidential immunity.
