In a recent state competition, Polymer Science I Students from Brookhaven School District achieved excellence as top science students. Out of the top 10 scores in Mississippi, eight were achieved by Brookhaven Technical Center students. Rivers Jordan secured first place, Ian Iles secured second place, and Thomas Baker and Carson Becker tied for third place. The students from Brookhaven High School competed with 66 others from across the state in an online test covering the first year’s curriculum of Polymer Science 1. The Brookhaven School District congratulated the students and their instructor, Leah Ann Peavey, for their outstanding performance in the competition held in collaboration with the University of Southern Mississippi School of Polymer Science and Engineering.
