During his official visit to South Korea, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh paid a visit to Samsung’s semiconductor complex in Gyeonggi province. Accompanied by Samsung Vice Chairman and CEO Young Hyun Jun, the Prime Minister was given a tour of semiconductor product models and expressed his admiration for Samsung’s achievements in high technology and semiconductors.

While in Korea, the Prime Minister also discussed Vietnam’s priority in promoting the semiconductor and AI industries with business leaders. Vietnam plans to improve policies, train high-quality human resources, and develop infrastructure to support corporations investing in the semiconductor industry. The Prime Minister expressed confidence in Samsung’s successful and sustainable investment in Vietnam, emphasizing the importance of semiconductor technology in the global economy and the 4th industrial revolution.

In addition to visiting Samsung, the Prime Minister also met with a Vietnamese-Korean multicultural family in Osan city, Gyeonggi province. He highlighted the historical relationship between the Vietnamese and Korean peoples and commended Vietnamese-Korean families for fostering good relations between the two countries. The Prime Minister encouraged multicultural families to continue building a beautiful life, comply with local laws, and contribute to promoting the image of both Vietnam and Korea.

After visiting Samsung and meeting with the multicultural family, the Prime Minister concluded his official visit to Korea and returned home with his wife and senior Vietnamese leaders. The visit highlighted the strong economic ties between Vietnam and Korea as well as the cultural exchanges that continue to strengthen their relationship.
