In March, cornerback Cameron Sutton was released by the Lions following a warrant for his arrest in Florida. However, after resolving the legal matter that had previously prevented him from playing in the NFL, Sutton is set to return to the league in 2024.

Recently, Sutton met with the Pittsburgh Steelers and is scheduled to meet with them again on Wednesday. According to Gerry Dulac of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, it is expected that Sutton will sign with the team. This would mark Sutton’s second stint with Pittsburgh, as he was originally drafted by the Steelers in the third round of the 2017 NFL Draft and spent six seasons with them before playing for Detroit last season.

To settle the battery charge that led to his release from the Lions, Sutton entered a pretrial diversion program. This successful resolution has allowed him to continue his NFL career and return to the field with the Pittsburgh Steelers.
