In 1966, the Istituto Europeo di Design (IED) was founded with the goal of providing a creative space for students to learn, grow and excel. Over the years, IED has had a significant impact in Brazil, Italy, and Spain, spreading its influence worldwide.

This year, IED is making its mark at Sonar+D, one of Spain’s premier electronic music and digital culture festivals held in Barcelona from June 13-15. Nestled in the vibrant Project Area of Montjuïc exhibition center, IED’s display features three groundbreaking projects from its alumni.

As a hub of innovation and creativity, Sonar+D showcases the future of the creative industry by highlighting the importance of play, experimentation and collaboration. Through its presence at this festival, IED challenges conventional ideas about technology and traditional art.

IED demonstrates its commitment to exploring new creative languages by showcasing how innovation and tradition can coexist harmoniously in the modern artistic landscape. By pushing the boundaries of what is possible in creativity, IED inspires others to do the same.
