Pinellas County has recently launched a new program called Care About Me, which aims to make it easier for individuals of all ages to find appointments for mental health, substance use, and addiction services. This initiative is a step towards promoting mental health awareness and providing much-needed services for residents of Pinellas County.
Through a dedicated access line, individuals can easily schedule appointments with local behavioral health providers. Care About Me can be accessed by calling 1-888-431-1998 on weekdays from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. It’s important to note that Care About Me is not a crisis line. In case of a mental health emergency or if someone is experiencing suicidal thoughts, individuals are advised to call 988 or 911.
