In the Nove Mesto XC World Cup, Tom Pidcock achieved victory for the fifth consecutive time in the Czech Republic woods. He began his ride from Josep Tarradellas Barcelona-El Prat Airport at 8:36am and completed the 226.46km (140.72 miles) journey at 4:43pm. Throughout his ride, Pidcock tackled 4193 metres (13756.56 feet) of climbing and 2470 metres (8103.7 feet) of descending, maintaining an average pace of 29.66km/h (18 miles/hour).

Pidcock’s impressive performance in Nove Mesto marked his first competition of the season on his mountain bike. He has been known to follow up his XC World Cup wins with remarkable road bike rides, as seen in his journey from Germany to the Czech Republic after winning at Albstadt XC World Cup in 2022. Just days later, he clinched his third win in Nove Mesto.

Looking ahead, Pidcock has set his sights on competing in the Tour de France, which will take place from Saturday, June 29, 2024 to Sunday, July 21, 2024. After this prestigious event, he plans to defend his Olympic mountain bike title on Monday, July 29th , 2024 .
