The 2024 ESPYS will see the presentation of the Sports Humanitarian of the Year award to four teams, including the Philadelphia Eagles. The Eagles were recognized for their Eagles Autism Foundation, which is led by Chairman and CEO Jeffery Lurie.

The foundation focuses on raising funds for autism research and spreading awareness about autism worldwide. One of its major events, the Eagles Autism Challenge, is a cycling/running/walking 5K that raised over $8.1 million in 2024 and has raised over $30 million since its inception in 2018. The funds raised have supported 116 autism research projects and community grants internationally.

In addition to fundraising events, the Eagles Autism Foundation offers year-round support programs, including a sensory room at Lincoln Financial Field, a neurodiverse employment program, and all-abilities programs. These efforts have made a significant impact in supporting individuals with autism and their families.
