The Culture Ministry (Mincul) and the Associated Video Game Companies of Peru (CVA) have signed a framework agreement aimed at promoting the development and growth of the video game industry in the country. This agreement, signed on June 26 by Marco Antonio Castañeda Vinces, Secretary General of Mincul, and Lorena Alexandra Nobile Ganoza, President of CVA, seeks to establish guidelines for collaboration between the parties in order to enhance academic training, capacity building activities, and the exchange of strategic information.

During the signing ceremony, representatives from prominent video game development companies in Peru such as Hermanos Magia, Leap Game Studio and Bamtang Games shared their experiences representing Peru at international festivals. They discussed their latest projects and highlighted the growth they have achieved in the video game industry. This agreement serves as a significant milestone for the video game industry in Peru, marking more than two decades since the first video game developer was established in the country.

The Associated Video Game Companies of Peru (CVA), founded in 2014 as a trade organization that brings together major companies in the video game development sector in Peru. The CVA’s mission is to promote business development, training, and growth of the video game industry in Peru while representing its associates’ interests before both public and private entities. The CVA aims to continue driving the industry forward, supporting local developers in creating their own intellectual property and fostering innovation within the video game sector.
