James Franklin and his staff at Penn State are still pushing forward with their recruiting efforts for the 2025 class, despite some setbacks. The week started off on a high note with a commitment from four-star cornerback Jahmir Joseph from New Jersey. This was followed by another commitment from four-star defensive back Antonio Branch, who is expected to transition from cornerback to safety given his size of 6-foot-2 and 175 pounds.

Branch cancelled his official visit to the University of Florida when he narrowed down his choices to Penn State, Louisville, and Nebraska. Despite an upcoming official visit to Louisville, Branch opted to commit to Penn State. This commitment is significant for Franklin and his staff, particularly in their successful recruitment efforts in Florida. With strong connections in the state, they have consistently been able to recruit top talent.

Penn State’s 2025 class now has a total of 16 players thanks to Branch’s commitment. Franklin and his staff continue to push forward with their recruiting efforts, determined to bring in the best talent possible for their program.
