The IIHF World Championship in Prague and Ostrava, Czechia came to an end over the weekend with several Penguins players participating in the tournament.

Erik Karlsson and Marcus Pettersson both won bronze with Team Sweden. This was Karlsson’s second bronze medal in his IIHF career, having also won one in 2010. Karlsson, who served as team captain, scored six goals and recorded 11 points in 10 games. Pettersson, who celebrated his 28th birthday during the tournament, notched three goals and five points in 10 games.
