Paul Onnen has been appointed as the Chief Technology Officer of wefox, a leading insurtech company. He takes over from Sergi Banos, who was promoted to Chief Platform Officer (CPO) as the company continues to accelerate its plans to launch a platform that connects the entire insurance ecosystem.
In his new role, Mr. Onnen will be responsible for leading wefox’s platform business strategy, overseeing its implementation, development and operations. Julian Teicke, CEO and founder of wefox, said that this is an important moment for the business as they bring in another industry heavyweight with the appointment of Paul and promoting Sergi to execute their platform strategy and development.
Mr. Onnen has more than 30 years’ experience in founding, directing and executing business-to-consumer (B2C) and business-to-business (B2B) SaaS platforms and products for leading organizations including Amazon, Google, Expedia and Nordstrom.com. He is widely recognized for his expertise in fintech, Big Data, SaaS, AI/ML and data security.
