Matthew Judon, a Patriots pass rusher, made his first appearance at the team’s facility today during the mandatory minicamp. This marked his return to the field since October 1, 2023 when he suffered a season-ending torn biceps injury.

Judon had opted to skip voluntary offseason workouts but had been present at the facility during this time according to Patriots head coach Jerod Mayo. Despite missing out on some valuable training time, Judon has expressed a desire to earn more and stated that he will not skip any mandatory work to avoid fines.

By attending the mandatory minicamp, Judon has ensured that he will not incur any fines for skipping and is committed to giving his best for the team. However, the question remains whether the Patriots will offer him a new contract that meets his expectations. Given his status as one of the team’s top players and entering the final year of his contract with a base salary of $6.5 million, it is likely that Judon will be present for training camp as well.
