Cole Strange, a Patriots offensive lineman, is currently undergoing rehabilitation for a torn patellar tendon in his left knee. The injury occurred in December when he was carted off the field, but the severity of the injury was only recently revealed by Mike Reiss of ESPN. As first-round draft pick in 2022, Strange showed promise by starting all 17 games in his rookie season. Unfortunately, his progress was interrupted by the knee injury that forced him to miss 10 games last year. Despite facing this setback, Strange remains determined to return to the field and contribute to the team once he is fully recovered.

Jerod Mayo, head coach of the Patriots who himself suffered a torn patellar tendon while playing for the Patriots in 2014, can empathize with Strange’s current situation. Mayo expressed his satisfaction with Strange’s dedication to rehab and closely monitors his recovery process. While it is anticipated that Strange will require several more months for his injury to fully heal, it is unlikely that he will be able to play in Week One of the upcoming season.

As Mayo himself went through this same experience and understands how important it is to take care of one’s body during rehabilitation process. He has been impressed by Strange’s determination to come back stronger than ever before and believes that with hard work and dedication, he will be able to make a significant contribution once again on the field for the patriots next season
