The New England Patriots are bolstering their roster with the addition of former DC Defenders guard Liam Fornadel, as reported by Christopher Price of the Boston Globe. Fornadel, who played at James Madison University, brings versatility to the team as he has experience starting at both right and left tackle positions.

The Patriots have struggled on the offensive front in recent seasons, and this was evident during spring practices. With Fornadel’s ability to play both guard and tackle positions, he has a good chance of earning playing time and making an impact on the field.

Fornadel had a standout season in the XFL in 2023, earning All-XFL honors with DC. Before the merger, he was considered one of the top offensive linemen in the league. The Patriots released rookie guard Ryan Johnson to make room for Fornadel, hoping that his experience will provide an immediate boost to the team.

It seems that the Patriots are taking steps to strengthen their offensive line and improve their overall performance. With Fornadel’s addition, they may be taking a step in the right direction towards addressing their weaknesses and finding success on the field.
