In recent news, a husband and wife are facing charges for allegedly stealing over $1 million from their son’s heating and air conditioning business in Coraopolis. The Allegheny County District Attorney’s Office announced that Joseph Ravas and Tasha Ravas have been charged in connection with the thefts.

The investigation began when Joseph Ravas’ son, Chris Ravas, the owner of PNP Heating and Air Conditioning, discovered a check from his business made out to cash. Further investigation revealed that over the past three years, more than 60 checks were made out to cash, Joseph or Tasha, totaling over $210,000. Chris Ravas informed the police that his father had recently purchased a $1.2 million home in Mexico and that his father and stepmother had used business funds for personal expenses like home additions, increased salaries, and shopping at businesses and restaurants. The total estimated misuse of funds exceeded $1 million.

District Attorney Zappala expressed his condolences to the victim and his business, acknowledging the difficulty of running a business, especially when dealing with theft. Both Joseph and Tasha Ravas are facing charges including receiving stolen property, criminal conspiracy, theft by unlawful taking, and access device fraud.
