A celebration like no other is awaiting the people of Panama City as Destination Panama City hosts the annual ‘Salute to Freedom’ 4th of July festival. This free event will take place on West Beach Dr. starting at 4 p.m. on Thursday, July 4th. The festival promises to be an exciting way for families to spend their Independence Day while enjoying quality time with the local community.

With plenty of activities and entertainment on offer, kids will have a blast building sandcastles and getting their faces painted at the sandcastle building stations and touch tank featuring marine life from the panhandle. Adults can look forward to live performances by three different bands and over 40 food trucks and vendors.

The Panama City Fire Department will also be providing grilling safety tips at the event, reminding attendees of the importance of fire safety during barbecues. Over the years, this festival has become a beloved tradition in Panama City, offering a unique experience that can’t be beaten.

According to Jennifer Vigil, President & CEO of Destination Panama City, “Salute to Freedom’ is an opportunity for Panama City residents, friends, neighbors and visitors to come together and enjoy fireworks over the bay.” The festival culminates in a spectacular fireworks display lasting about 20 minutes that promises to leave attendees in awe.
