Palomar Health Medical Group (PHMG) has been experiencing technical difficulties since May 5 due to suspicious activity on certain computer systems within its network. In response, phones, faxes, and patient portals were taken offline to prevent potential malware from spreading.

Despite the network issues, PHMG facilities remain open and are providing care to patients. However, there may be delays due to the technical difficulties. KPBS is interested in hearing from individuals who have been impacted by the PHMG network outage. If it has affected your ability to access care or make appointments, please share your experience in the form below for a chance to be featured in an upcoming story.

PHMG has stated on its website that they are currently working with third-party forensic specialists in an effort to restore network operations. An investigation has also been launched to determine the nature and scope of the suspicious activity. Fortunately, the Palomar Health Healthcare District, which includes Palomar Medical Center Escondido and Palomar Medical Center Poway, were not impacted and are still operational.
