Pakistan secured their first victory of the tournament with a seven-wicket win over Canada on Tuesday. The Canadians were limited to a score of 106-7 after being asked to bat first by Pakistan. Mohammad Amir of Pakistan received the Player of the Match award for his impressive three-wicket performance, while Muhammad Rizwan scored a half-century in Pakistan’s win.

Pakistan’s captain, Babar Azam, expressed the team’s relief at securing the much-needed win, stating, “It’s good for us – we needed this win.” He also discussed the team’s plans moving forward, mentioning a change in mindset for their upcoming match against Ireland.
