Pakistan Cricket Board has announced a 15-man squad for the upcoming T20 World Cup, which includes former players Mohammad Amir and Imad Wasim who came out of retirement. Both players have experience playing in the Caribbean Premier League and their selection was backed by the selectors. Fast bowler Haris Rauf was also chosen for the squad despite not playing competitive cricket since late February due to a shoulder injury during the Pakistan Super League.

Pakistan will open their campaign against the host U.S. on June 6 in Dallas, with group games also scheduled against India, Canada, and Ireland. The top two teams from the group will advance to the second round of the tournament. Several newcomers like leg-spinner Abrar Ahmed, wicketkeeper-batter Azam Khan, fast bowler Abbas Afridi, opening batter Saim Ayub, and middle-order batter Usman Khan have been included in the squad for this tournament.

Usman Khan, who was banned by the Emirates Cricket Board, had a below-par performance in the T20 series against New Zealand last month.
