The Green Bay Packers are eager to finalize a contract extension for Jordan Love before training camp begins. On Tuesday, General Manager Brian Gutekunst expressed his optimism that negotiations will pick up after the conclusion of the offseason program this week.

Love, who has been closely monitoring contract developments through his agent, is confident that talks will progress quickly leading up to the start of camp on July 22. He signed an extension last May that included a substantial signing bonus and raised his average annual pay to $13.5 million.

After an impressive season in which Love threw for over 4,000 yards and 32 touchdowns, the Packers are confident that he is the future replacement for Aaron Rodgers. They are prepared to compensate him accordingly, with his potential contract mirroring Jared Goff’s recent lucrative deal with the Lions.

Love’s commitment to the team was evident as he participated in the entire offseason program, showcasing his dedication and readiness to take on the starting role. As negotiations progress, it is clear that both Love and the Packers are eager to solidify his future with the team.
