Kristoffer Olsson, a 28-year-old Swedish midfielder who has been capped 47 times by his country, recently revealed that he will play football again after experiencing blood clots on the brain that left him without motor or verbal skills. The player, who currently plays for Danish side FC Midtjylland, collapsed at home in February and was subsequently placed on a ventilator at the hospital. He was later transferred to a specialist neurology center where he continues his recovery in rehab.

In an interview with Swedish daily Aftonbladet, Olsson expressed his optimism about his progress, stating that he feels great and is confident about returning to the sport. He mentioned that his physical abilities are improving every day and that he has been able to run, move well, and maintain a good memory. Despite the challenges he faced during his recovery, he remains positive and patient, focusing on the improvements he has seen so far.

Olsson’s health scare was a result of rare inflammation of the blood vessels in his brain, leading to multiple blood clots. He admitted to not having any memories from the first few weeks after his collapse and described that period as being close to death. However, with determination and a positive mindset, he managed to overcome the worst part of his health crisis.

Having previously played for Arsenal’s academy and making a single appearance for the Gunners, Olsson signed with FC Midtjylland after a successful loan spell in 2015. He recently witnessed his team’s victory in the Danish championship from the stands, showing his support despite his health condition. With his steady progress and unwavering determination
