The Oklahoma Sooner softball players Jayda Coleman, Kierston Deal, and Kinzie Hansen are set to be the featured speakers at the OKC Metro High School Sports Awards, presented by LC Management Group. This event will take place on June 14 at the Rose State Performing Arts Center, and tickets can be purchased through a provided link.

The three players played crucial roles in Oklahoma’s fourth consecutive national championship win in the Women’s College World Series. Jayda Coleman hit a walk-off solo home run against Florida that propelled the team to the best-of-three finals, ultimately defeating Texas 2-0. She is a four-time All-American, the 2023 Big12 Athlete of the Year, and a top 10 finalist for the 2024 USA Softball Collegiate Player of the Year.

Kinzie Hansen also contributed significantly during WCWS by hitting two home runs and driving in six runs to secure her fourth national championship. She is a member of the USA Softball Women’s National Team, won Johnny Bench Award for Best College Softball Catcher in 2023 and has been recognized as a four-time All-American with impressive program records.

Sophomore Kierston Deal was essential in Oklahoma’s success during WCWS as she pitched 9.1 innings across four games with a record of 13 wins this season and strong performance in World Series earned her recognition as one of their aces.

The OKC Metro High School Sports Awards is part of a nationwide student-athlete recognition program that spans nine months, culminating in a red-carpet show each spring.
