During the week of May 16 to May 23, Orange County health inspectors conducted inspections and ordered several restaurants and food vendors to close due to various violations. Jamba Juice in Lake Forest was closed on May 22 for unspecified reasons but reopened the following day. Sweetee Thai in Cypress and Hans’ Ice Cream & Deli in Santa Ana were both closed on May 21 due to cockroach infestations but reopened on May 22.

On May 15, Panda House Chinese Restaurant in Garden Grove was closed because employee restrooms were inoperable, while Nem in Garden Grove and Carnitas Uruapan in Anaheim were both closed due to rodent and cockroach infestations, respectively. Balboa Lily’s in Newport Beach was closed due to insufficient hot water, and Top Taste Fruits in Garden Grove was closed due to a rodent infestation. All of these closures were tracked weekly by the OC Health Care Agency, with status updates published in the following week’s list.

In an update from the previous week’s list, 100% Natural in Garden Grove was ordered closed on May 14 due to a cockroach infestation but was allowed to reopen on May 20.
