On Saturday morning, a shooting at the H20 nightclub in Louisville resulted in the death of Indianapolis towing business owner Joseph D. Bowers and left seven others injured. The Louisville Metro Police Department responded to a call just before 1 a.m. reporting several people shot at the nightclub.

40-year-old Joseph D. Bowers was pronounced dead at the scene, while another adult with critical and life-threatening gunshot wounds was transported to UofL Hospital. Six additional individuals took themselves to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

As of now, there are no suspects identified in the case, and the Louisville Metro Police Department’s Homicide Unit is currently investigating the incident. Mayor Craig Greenburg expressed in a statement that more needs to be done to address the gun violence in the city and emphasized the importance of community involvement in preventing such incidents.

Mayor Greenburg urged anyone with information about the shooting to come forward and assist in the investigation.
