According to a recent report from The Power of Industry (TVO) service, the repair work on the Olkiluoto nuclear power plant’s triple reactor is experiencing delays. Initially, it was expected that the repair, inspection, and testing work would be completed on schedule. However, recent estimates suggest that the process will take longer than anticipated.

Despite these delays, TVO has announced that full production at the triple reactor is expected to begin between Tuesday and Wednesday night. This is a change from their previous estimate of production starting on Tuesday at noon. The interruption in electricity production at the plant occurred on Sunday evening due to a fault in the turbine plant. The cause of this failure was identified as a faulty temperature measurement in the generator’s cooling system. TVO has assured that this event did not impact nuclear safety.
