EA Sports is set to release “College Football 25” on July 19, and the excitement among fans is palpable as they eagerly await the return of the popular college football video game series. Recently, EA released its offensive rankings for the 25 best offenses in the game, with the Oklahoma Sooners making the list.

The Sooners offense is ranked 23rd overall and 8th within the SEC for the year 2024. This ranking reflects changes in leadership following the departure of offensive coordinator Jeff Lebby, with co-OCs Seth Littrell and Joe Jon Finley taking on new roles. The team has also seen departures in quarterback Dillon Gabriel and running backs Tawee Walker and Marcus Major, but Gavin Sawchuk is expected to lead the running back position. Jovantae Barnes will also play a significant role as a change-of-pace back.

Despite these changes, the passing game remains promising with returning players like Jalil Farooq, Andrel Anthony, Nic Anderson, and Jayden Gibson, as well as new addition Deion Burks. The loss of Cayden Green was a big hit during the offseason but did not deter fans from discussing nationally about OU’s O-line unit that will feature five new starters this season.

Overall “College Football 25” projects Oklahoma to have an 83 overall offense on par with teams like Florida State, Virginia Tech and USC. Fans can follow @SoonersWire on X and Facebook for ongoing coverage of Oklahoma news and opinions or Aaron on X @AaronGelvin for more updates.
