Adam Wallin of Ohio State is currently leading the NCAA Men’s Golf Championship after three rounds at the Omni La Costa Resort & Spa in Carlsbad, California. Wallin shot a 3-under par 69 on Sunday, with five birdies and three bogeys, to reach 5-under par for the tournament. He is two strokes ahead of Virginia’s Ben James and Stanford’s Karl Vilips.

Reflecting on his round, Wallin called it solid, noting his consistency in hitting greens. He expressed satisfaction with his performance, stating that he had avoided mistakes and strung together a good round of golf.

While Wallin is doing well individually, Ohio State as a team is in fifth place after three rounds. The top eight teams will move on to match play to determine the team champion. Ohio State has an eight-shot lead over Arizona and Georgia Tech in ninth place.

Ohio State has a history of individual champions in this tournament, with Clark Burroughs winning in 1985. Wallin and his teammates will be paired with Florida State and North Carolina for Monday’s final round, teeing off at 2:25 p.m. ET. Golf Channel will provide coverage from 6-10 p.m. ET.
