Petty is widely considered one of the top offensive tackles in his class, and Ohio State’s recent confirmation of a recruiting visit from him has excited Buckeye fans. While it may be too early to say if Frye’s job is in danger, landing a talented player like Petty would certainly help quiet any doubts. Florida State has also been vying for Petty’s commitment, but his upcoming visit to Ohio State on June 14 will give us more insight into where he stands. The fact that this will be Petty’s second trip to Columbus indicates a strong interest in what the Buckeyes have to offer.
