Despite the setback of losing Illinois 2026 wide receiver Tayln Taylor to Georgia, Ohio State football remains in contention for four of the nation’s top six receivers according to the 247Sports Composite Rankings. The Buckeyes have only one commitment in the class, De’zie Jones from New Jersey, but they are still pursuing highly ranked players such as Dakorien Moore, Kaliq Lockett, Jaime Ffrench and Vernell Brown III.

If Ohio State can secure commitments from two of these highly ranked players, it would greatly benefit their recruiting cycle. With limited fallback options available at the moment, the Buckeyes must be confident in their pursuit of these remaining targets. It is crucial for Ohio State to solidify their roster with top talent in order to remain competitive in the future.
