The Wisconsin Badgers’ offense has been struggling in recent years, and it shows in their exclusion from EA Sports College Football 25’s offensive power ratings. Georgia leads the way with a 94 overall rating, followed closely by Oregon and Alabama at 94 and 91 respectively. At the bottom of the top 25 rankings, teams like Florida State, Oklahoma, Virginia Tech, and USC were all listed with an overall rating of 83.

Wisconsin’s offense begins the season ranked at No. 80 in ESPN SP+’s ranking, which is not surprising given their lackluster offensive output in recent years. In the 2023 season, they averaged only 23.5 points per game against a relatively weak Big Ten West schedule. However, there is hope for improvement this season under offensive coordinator Phil Longo.

The exclusion from EA Sports’ top 25 ranking should come as no surprise given the struggles of Wisconsin’s offense in recent years. Quarterback Tyler Van Dyke transferred to Madison in the offseason in hopes of turning things around, but the team will need to show significant improvement on the field before any ratings change.
