Odfjell Technology, a company that specializes in offshore operations, well-service technology, and engineering solutions, has been awarded an extension of full drilling services on Equinor’s Mariner A platform.

The contract extension involves managing operations, maintenance, and repairs for both the main rig drilling facility and intervention completion unit on the platform located 150 km east of the Shetland Islands. Additionally, the company will conduct engineering studies, modifications, and upgrades to support the platform’s operations.

This contract extension will continue until November 2026 with an additional two-year option available after that. Odfjell Technology has been providing support for the Mariner asset since 2019.

Recently, Odfjell Technology acquired McGarian TDC, a consultancy, design, and development services firm, for a base consideration of £3m ($3.81m) with additional earn-outs possible based on commercial success and product development targets over the next three years.

Additionally, the company secured a contract worth approximately $14.8m to provide tubular running services for COSL Drilling Europe. The contract will run for three years with the option for two additional one-year periods.
